THE oriental dance or belly dance as a single style does not exist. The term "oriental dance" or "raks sharqi" combines a whole group of folk dances and modern dance styles. Here a small collection of common types:
Classical oriental style

The peak of the oriental dance styles is the classical oriental show. Here a classical oriental piece of music is interpreted in all its feelings, speeds and rhyms by the dancer.
